Dr. Ruthann F. Rees, MD, PhD, FACOG | Columbus GA
Dr. Rees founded OB/GYN Specialists of Columbus in 1998 after completing her military service at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center and Martin Army Community Hospital. While her early career goals were to return to academic medicine and research, she found more satisfaction providing personalized healthcare to women in a community setting. Dr. Rees’ special areas of interest outside obstetrics include minimally invasive surgery, urogynecology, and pelvic reconstructive surgery for women with pelvic support disorders.
Dr. Rees was awarded the Reader’s Choice Award for Favorite OB/GYN by the Ledger-Enquirer. She is Board Certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and is a Fellow of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Dr. Rees has served as the Chairman of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Doctors Specialty Hospital and Midtown Medical Center (now known as Piedmont Columbus Regional Midtown). She is also a member of the American Urogynecology Society, the Georgia OB/GYN Society, and the Muscogee County Medical Society.
Dr. Rees’s believes in empowering women to take control of their health, so they can live their best life at every age. Her ultimate goal is to create a partnership with her patients – from adolescence, through the adult & reproductive years, and beyond menopause – for lifelong wellness.

Caitlyn Parrish, WHNP-BC
Caitlyn Parrish, WHNP-BC, is a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner at OBGYN Specialists of Columbus, where she provides personalized, comprehensive care for women of all ages. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Sciences from Auburn University, her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, and her Master of Science in Nursing with a specialization in Women’s Health from the University of South Alabama. With more than 12 years of nursing experience, Caitlyn is passionate about empowering women through education, prevention, and compassionate care. She values building lasting relationships with her patients and strives to create a welcoming, supportive environment in the clinic.
Born and raised in Columbus, GA, Caitlyn is proud to serve the community she calls home. She has been married to her husband for 10 years, and together they have a two-year-old daughter. Outside of the office, she enjoys traveling, spending time at the lake, playing tennis, and cheering on Auburn athletics.
Rachel Smith
Licensed Esthetician & Cosmetic Laser Practitioner
Rachel Smith is a licensed esthetician and certified cosmetic laser practitioner with over six years of experience in the skincare industry. With a passion for results-driven treatments, she has spent the past year specializing in medical aesthetics, where she combines advanced technology with a personalized approach to beauty and wellness.
Rachel offers a range of services, including Morpheus 8, Evolve X body contouring, collagen-stimulating therapies, laser hair removal, and more. She believes skincare is never one-size-fits-all and is committed to helping each client feel confident in their own skin through customized treatment plans.
Born and raised in Puyallup, Washington, Rachel brings warmth and authenticity to every client interaction. Outside of the treatment room, she’s a proud mom to her 2.5-year-old son, a cat lover, a coffee enthusiast, and a thrift shopping pro.
