The goal has always been the same: to provide the best possible care in the most personal setting, while treating every patient with dignity and respect.”

First… Skilled Diagnosis
Examination of symptoms using latest technologies
At OB/GYN Specialists of Columbus, our providers believe in the daily integration of their clinical expertise and medicine’s best external evidence to care for each and every patient. This is made easier by our on-site ultrasound and lab services, as well as partnerships with Maternal Fetal Medicine and the staff at Midtown Medical Center and Doctors Hospital.
Next… Your Plan of Care
Making the best decision for you and your body
Once a diagnosis is made, it’s up to you and your healthcare provider to decide on an appropriate plan of care. Some of our patients have tried medical management and are seeking surgical intervention. Other patients are eager to discover what the alternatives to surgery may be. Either way, our team of dedicated providers will walk with you on this journey, with a commitment to the best possible outcome.
Then… A Focus on Healing
Resume your active and healthy lifestyle
Whether you’ve just delivered your baby or have recently undergone surgery, your body needs time to recover. Our providers are an active part of that process, with scheduled follow-up visits to evaluate your healing. Making it possible for you to resume an active and healthy lifestyle informs our way of caring for patients – both before and after a procedure.
Now… As Healthcare Changes
Navigating Questions and Uncertainty
We know that healthcare is changing, and we’re committed to keeping current as it unfolds. We began making many of these changes, like adding electronic health records, years ago. From patient portals and ICD-10 codes, to best practices and patient education, our dedication to providing the best possible care remains steadfast. That’s one thing that will never change.

Frequently Asked Questions:

What can I do to stay healthy?

The answer lies in a combination of things.  First of all, eat well.  Maintaining a healthy diet is the foundation that every thing else is built upon.  Secondly, exercise regularly.  Even thirty minutes of walking three times a week will improve your overall well being.  Lastly, although just as important, keep your scheduled appointments with your physician.  Use these opportunities to maintain your goals, voice your concerns, and develop a plan to ensure your continued health

Could you suggest a good diet?

Depending on your stage of life and health goals, a variety of diets may be appropriate.  As a general rule, it’s best to avoid foods high in fat and cholesterol.  Replace fattier meats, like beef, with lean meats, like chicken or fish.  Of course, grilled is better for you than fried.  Incorporating fresh fruits and vegetables, either with meals or as snacks, will help keep you full and avoid reaching for chips or other poor substitutes.  Finally, drink plenty of water.  The Institute of Medicine recommends 2.2 liters (or about nine cups) of fluids per day.  Choosing water over soft drinks eliminates sugar and empty calories, and keeps your kidneys flushed.
